  FAQ

Do you really use real dog meat?
Yes, all of our products are made with 100% premium free range dog meat.  We do not add any other meats or "fillers" to any of our products.  When you order from us, you can be assured that you will only receive the highest quality dog meat from our free range farms.
Why do you require users to login to your website?
We do this, because we prefer to deal with our customers on a more personal basis.  Because we are so focused on customer service and customer satisfaction, we do not wish to lose all contact with our customers.  Because we cater to a select group of clientele, we find it better to deal directly with our customers.

Most Importantly:  Because our products contain dog meat we are unable to sell to just anyone.  We require that all our customers sign both a contract and a waiver before they are allowed to purchase any product containing dog meat. Certain countries require this to import our products.

We also run a background check on all individuals that wish to purchase dog meat.  This is because we are unable to provide our services to some individuals with criminal histories. We also require membership because purchasing, consuming, and shipping dog meat may be illegal in your area.

While our legal department runs the background check on a prospective customer they also check all your local and federal laws relating to dog meat.  To become a member, click here.

Can dog meat be frozen and retain its flavor?
Dog meat does not keep its high quality long in the freezer because changes in flavor and texture occur. Puppu Beef has a much more delicate flavour than other meats. If freezing any Puppy Beef product is necessary, it should be kept in original wrapping or after heated tightly sealed and stored at 0 degrees F for no longer than two months.
How are PuppyBeef dog meat products shipped and what shipping options do I have?
Our standard shipping method will get your package delivered within seven business days or less from the day we receive your order. In select cities, we use our own refrigerated shipping trucks, however, if you live outside of our covered area, we currently use your major local shipping companies for delivery.  Companies used depend on your state/country. You don't have to be home to receive your package. Our delivery companies are asked to leave your package at your front door. We also offer Express and Overnight delivery options. Please login to see our Shipping Information page for complete details. Your products are shipped in a polystyrene cooler packed with dry ice to insure that they will arrive frozen and in perfect condition. If you have additional questions about shipping, feel free to send us an email. customerservice@manbeef.com
Is there an easy way to tell when Puppy Beef meat on the grill is cooked through?
Cook dog meat to the well-done stage. PuppyBurgers and PuppyBeef steaks should have no pink in the center. information.
We cook dogburgers on the grill almost every weekend. Sometimes they taste dry and bland. What am I doing wrong?
For juicy dogburgers, remember these easy pointers. Avoid overmixing ground dog meat because excessive handling can make it tough. Grill PuppyBeef burgers over medium heat . And resist the temptation to press on the burgers while they're grilling, as this squeezes out the juices and makes them dry.  You can also read our BBQ Tips section to learn more about barbecuing.
I love to marinate Puppy Beef meats because the flavor is so good but I never remember to start in time for dinner. Any suggestions?
For this you must take a hint from the Koreans. To easily marinate, freeze the dog meat right in the marinade. Placed washed and dried pieces in a large plastic freezer bag and coat with enough dressing to cover. Place in freezer. When ready to use, thaw overnight in refrigerator. It marinates while thawing.   For some good marinades and sauces, check our Recipes section.
I've never cooked Puppy Beef before, is there anything special that I need to do?
No, dog meat is just like any other red meat, only the flavour is stronger yet more delicate and exotic.  But like any other meat, you have to know how to safely handle it.
Do various breeds taste different?
Yes. Also certain dog breeds are more suitable for different cuts. However we have developed our own breed (as do the Koreans) which can be bred to size (not unlike a poodle or schnauzer which can be bred large, medium or toy). We breed extra large, large, medium, small and extra small dogs in the one breed.  This breed is not available as a pet which depersonalizes the Puppy Beef process. You wouldn't eat your pet lamb so we take a similar approach.
Why is Puppy Beef so expensive?
Puppy Beef dog meat is so expensive, because it is extremely difficult to obtain. We run our own free range dog farms. One may assume we just get strays and pound dogs. This is completely untrue and completely unhygienic. Our farms breed only the finest animals under strict guidelines, not unlike a premium Cattle farm.

However, because dog meat has a uniquely exquisite flavor and medicinal qualities, it is known world wide as a gourmet delicacy.
